Provisional working title: Investigating Eco-Phenomenology deeper to aid in developing art Education architecturally creating greener learning spaces for the betterment of the student and the environment of today.

Proposed Research in Practice project:

Within this module I propose to explore Eco- phenomenology specifically its uses within designing a greener space. I believe when you challenge the architecture and design of a space you can create fresh spaces from which psychological advancement can take place. When you create a safe and visually pleasing environment you are encouraging simulative psychological play. The brain is wired to engage with simulative cues and from that creativity can be intuitive.

How do I plan to challenge the design and architectural natures of art education spaces?

Considering Margaret street as a role of the institutional model, I shall delve into the archives specifically where the greenhouse rooms used to be exploring the use of plant life within the architecture of the art school and its benefits within the school.

Investigating ways in which other educational spaces have used plant life within their design and if they are effective in enhancing art education. continuing the exploration of any space that use plant life within the design and if they are effective in creating productivity and creativity.

Looking deeper into our relationship with the botanical, specifically the use of botanical plant life within the home and the benefits this has on the body. why we have begun bringing plants within the home and how this can be used as inspiration for future educational designs. How can plants aid in creating productivity? There have been many studies on this such as;

and how this has unconsciously influenced an entire group of houseplant hoarders to literally hoard botanicals within their home. How can this Influence the design of educational spaces for the future?

Overall I plant to interrogate, investigate and pick apart botanical design, horticulture and its uses to create new educational spaces. How artists have used botanical design and how it has been used to aid In psychological and phenomenological study. The health benefits of using plant life and how we can improve spaces for the future.
