Considering how women engage with doctors and at home

Changing about pelvic pain and other medical problems to fertility changed peoples perspectives from reactions from angry saying were sexualising to happy good people looking at fertility

Men mainly talk bout this in these settings —> no idea on how things work as they are not women

Access to products —> distribution of products —> language was super important there —> period poverty —> poverty could be a lack of education ect —> didn’t understand what ovulation was —> going into primary schools to talk about it and educate

Sisters as a place of inclusivity —> working with academic institutions to get minorities recognised —> social constraints are the reason for this organisation —> born out of frustration —> charity focused on reproductive health awareness —> youth board, ups killing next advocates 19yr - 23 yr —> taking back history from their perspective

Intergenerational trauma —> interna distrust in institutions that have poverted from that abuse —> reflecting this within their work —> we don’t want nameless women —> not praising the gynaecologist who torchured black women in his research

100 vaginas —> led by youth group —> imperative to their organisation and to educate —> myths ( go near food on your period it will turn sour ) —> academically teaching this in a soft way —> difficult to translate —> difficult conversations due to intergenerational myths within period culture —> wives tales —> expectation of having men —> family name and honour —> girls found in womb were killed in india —> what is womenhood? —> changing those narratives —> working with grassroots communities —> some cant have children (fibrosis, endometriosis ect…) —>

Women has a place or a box ( engrained thoughts in families ) —> sexualised health —> changing conversations —> ted talk on virginity myth
