Work is forming, installing and transforming. The work in process show is coming ahead nicely.

Throughout my art practice I use symbolic and metaphorical methods to aid in understanding myself through an autobiographical response. Delving into the darkest areas of my mind methodologically. Tapping into my own human psyche understanding the way in which my mind and body connect and react to situations. Creating emotive yet powerful work that encompasses my own emotional answer through space and object.

Textiles are often highly emotional for their makers and owners. Their association with women’s domestic work across the social spectrum has made them a key means of preserving and accessing female histories.

Textiles remain emotionally charged for a myriad of reasons, including their association with women’s history, admiration of skill, and the sensation of physical comfort created by the touch of soft textiles on the skin. Furthermore, the ability of clothing to retain the shape of previous owners can evoke the physical presence of long dead bodies.
