3 Major + Minor issues/concerns on the course
- Analysing text, what are these people talking about?
- Narrowing down my interests, not doing so is stressful, avoiding the horror of everything being being vague.
- getting access to groups, participants and knowing that are qualified to lead something.
- getting balance of theory and practise, stick to your interests and don't get distracted from them.
- let the course add to what you want to do, not take away form it.
- find out how to get the best from the building and from the spaces outside.
- not feeling like you can ask for things, and not saying when something is wrong.
Solutions
- sharing a bookshelf
- if you find something useful, share it
- use the independent grits to support each other and build a community - how do you share it.
- being generous, disseminating what you do, constant loop of sharing and reflection.
- focus on collaboration when you can
- take over sessions as students and determine how you are taught.
- being able to change how your learning environment acts, and what its made from.
- always trust what you want to do and run with it. don't rely on tutorials to give you permission to do something.
