During the Yorkshire Sculpture Park visit we explored the vast array of artists works such as Damien Hurst and Ai weiwei. Delving deep into the educational archives our eyes were opened not only to the standard of art in education in the past but also of the growth and change that art education has experienced. From the decline in the arts now to the different use of facilities or the lack of facilities many schools now face. The innocent nature of the works shown was endearing to say the least and really informed my decision making when considering the environment of learning spaces and how deeply they effect a persons education and their needs. From lack of facilities to dark, sharp rooms, I personally believe that a persons education is deeply effected by their surrounding and this was validated by the change in artworks created over the decades within the archive.
