Helen Flaherty

Artist Educator

Helen Flaherty is an artist educator who graduated from her masters degree in art in education practises at Birmingham city university in 2020.Completed her Ba(Hons) Fine art at Plymouth University in 2018 and has won multiple awards during her studies such as the Bowater award at BCU and the award of excellence at Plymouth University.

Her pedagogic practise investigates Eco-Phenomenology as a investigative tool in designing/creating productive yet calming educational spaces. Particularly specialising in indoor botanicals and plant life; Their impact architecturally on a space and environmentally taking consideration to todays environmental state. 

Educating through the exploration of herbology, witchcraft and alternate religious practises. Specifically their aid in self care and the body.

Her artistic vision would be to eventually create a plethora of educational environments that encompass her body of research into reality. creating spaces that stimulate rather than conform and enhance learners to push themselves to their best most creative potential.
